"Master Van... is the one that needs me..."

Remembers:
Running away from Baticul and not stopping until he collapses in a forest. Feeling completely abandoned and unnecessary and defeated. Van finding him and saying all the right things, but most importantly that he still needs him. Leaving to return to Daath with Van.

Learned:
- Seeing something (the replica, from piecing together things) in Baticul completely broke my spirit.
- I felt unnecessary and unwanted from it.
- I went back with Van because he said he needed me.

Reactions/Effects:
+ 500 more Complicated Feelings for Van
+ 50 Disappointment in himself for believing Van so easily

Telling Luke he's a replica in Yulia City. 2:00 - 4:50
"This is the dreck that stole my life?"

Remembers:
Running into Luke and Tear outside Yulia City. Getting super pissed off at Luke for refusing to take responsibility and being a dumb replica. TELLING him he's a dumb replica... among calling him other things... Fighting Luke and defeating him and. Honestly trying to kill him at the end there. UNSHOWN IN THAT SCENE but stopping his attack once Luke passes out and leaving his body there for Tear to drag back (this is how the scene plays out in the Asch Gaiden).

Learned:
- I was really cruel to Luke and thought of him as inferior because he's a replica.
- I hated Luke because I thought he stole my life. A LOT of hate.
- ... That was kind of irrational...
- I honestly would have/tried to kill him.

Reactions/Effects:
+ 50 Understanding for why he hated Luke so much.
+ 300 Feelings of guilt toward Dawn.
+ 70 Awkwardness about sharing more about Asch with anybody.

"... Mother..."

Remembers:
Partying with the main party! ... against his will. This was not a common thing in the least. LOVING SON TITLE GET. Ex... explaining the differences between the Rugnican death cap and the Great Rugnican death cap. All the monster fighting with main party. ... All the mushrooms... Finding said mushroom and giving it to Luke to take back to Mother.

Learned:
- ... Why do they keep ignoring me.
- I didn't want to do this with them. This was also a One Time Thing.
- I didn't travel with Dawn's group because I didn't want to...
- Dawn and I can communicate through our minds. But how?
- Mushrooms should never be that big
- ... did Dawn get some of his dumb from me...

Reactions/Effects:

Remembers:
Being confined in a dark cell without any sense of how much time is passing. Pleading for his release. MACHINES EVERYWHERE. Getting dragged out of the cell and forced into repeated replication processes. These were extremely painful and he fought every time he got dragged back out for more experimentation. Van is there except Van is being a dick and JUST WATCHING. Begging Van to help him and being refused. Desperately wanting to go back home.

Learned:
- I... How could this...
- This is how Dawn was 'born'
- All of this was completely against my will
- Van forced me into this and ignored my pleading.

Reactions/Effects:
+ 1 recurring nightmare. Asch canonly has recurring nightmares involving the replication process, so he'll be having them once again as Dusk. Fairly regular frequency.
+ 200 disdain/distrust/BETRAYED FEELINGS for Van

OVERALL:
Dusk has remembered a LOT of skill-related things about himself. He has a much better understanding of what he was physically capable of and will be working to reattain that level of strength and resolution. He's also being unconciously affected by Asch in that he'll be more accepting of the 'CANNOT SAVE EVERYONE' option. It doesn't mean that he won't TRY to, but if things turn out to be where they HAVE to do horrible things to other people, he will bro up with Ferris and get them done.

Natalia liking his cooking. This skit, essentially.

Remembers:
Cooking for the tales party! General faces and names of the main tales party, but no Luke in sight. Getting approached by Anise and Natalia and that whole scene happening. Feeling a little pleased with himself over Natalia enjoying his cooking, until Anise starts in on him. Having absolutely no problems using an arte on a small child.

Learned:
- Natalia is a bad cook.
- I traveled with Dawn's friends for a while.
- I know how to cook, well at that.
- I liked that Natalia specifically liked it.
- ANISE IS SUPER EMBARRASSING STOP THAT.

Standing as a tiny god general in front of Van. "You are no longer Luke fon Fabre. I will give you a new name. 'Asch.' From now on, you are 'Asch the Bloody.'" Believing that Van had given him a new name and life. Putting absolutely all of his faith/belief in Van.

Learned:
- Van was the one who gave him the name of Asch
- He still believed in Van when he was feeling lost- why was he feeling lost?
- Van was his 'savior' and purpose
- The name 'Asch' stands for 'Ashes of the Sacred Flame'
- The name 'Luke' stands for 'Light of the Sacred Flame'

Remembers:
Being pulled aside from god general training when he was about 14 by a really weird guy with a frilly collar. The guy is named Dist! Dist the Rose. Being told that it's about time he receive a 'specific education'. Getting dragged into a large room with two robots in it. One of the robots is wearing a dress. A VERY awkward lesson that includes the robots, diagrams, and frequent mentions of 'Jade'. Leaving the room after breaking one of the robots by stabbing it and absolutely confused about how babies are made.

Learned:
- He was training to be something called a 'god general' at this age.
- He was going by the name Asch at this age.
- Dist is another god general who is really weird and annoying.
- 'Jade' is either a person or an implement vital to sex.

Reactions/Effects:
+ Infinity reasons to never have sex. Ever.
+ 20 thoughts of what the hell was my life.
+ 0 importance and relevance in any way to Dusk.
+ ... .01 morbid interest in if sex really works that way because what the hell are there really robots involved?

Ranting about Luke to the Dark Wings. Note: Implied canon!
"I can't believe how stupid that dreck is!"

Remembers:
The Dark Wings: Urushi, York, and Noir! Them being very 'haha oh Asch' about his rant. Him telling them that he doesn't pay them to make jokes. Being kind of a jerk to the Dark Wings but them not really caring that he's a jerk! Riding in that... weird little car thing that the Dark Wings drove. Using some very creative language when talking about Luke. Ranting about 'THAT STUPID DRECK' for a really long time and being absolutely infuriated at him over just about every/any thing.

Learned:
- His name when he's older is Asch.
- He's not king like he thought he'd be.
- He hangs out with a group of part-time thieves he hired to do things for him.
- Despite being kind of a jerk to them, he doesn't really hate them.
- His language is a lot less formal/stiff when he's older.
- Just the mention of Luke sends him into an angry tirade. Frequently.
- He carries a sword!

Reactions/Effects:
This is Dusk's first memory of himself when he's older! And... apparently he gets angry really easily whenever Luke comes up. He doesn't remember what SPECIFICALLY he gets angry at Luke for in this memory, but there's a lot of 'that idiot' and 'stupid replica' and 'dreck.' He recognizes that they're all insults, but at the moment 'replica' doesn't mean much to him other than a bad thing. He was just super mad at Luke because Luke did something stupid. Again. The thing is he has no idea why he got so irrationally angry over Luke, looking at the memory from the outside it seems like a huge overreaction, but he's not sure if he's just lost control of his temper or Luke really did do something amazingly stupid. So for now he's keeping this memory to himself. :|a

Remembers:
His mother and father! Being engaged to a young girl. Master Van! Feeling like Van was the only one confident in his ability to become king. His father being super standoffish. Feeling worried/downhearted about disappointing his father. SUPER HIGH EXPECTATIONS OF HIM. The feeling of not being good enough. His... name.

Learned:
- He's meant to be king, that's what all the lessons are for.
- He has/had a fiancee.
- He knew someone he called Master Van who supported him.
- Apparently his father didn't like him that much?
- ... His name is Luke...?! Wait seriously do he and Dawn have the same name?

Etiquette lessons from the castle tutors. Note: Headcanon!
"A proper gentleman sits up straight, is polite and well-spoken, and does everything he can for those he cares about."

Remembers:
Studying in a large library with a snooty lady. Repetitive corrections to his posture and way of speaking. Repeated lectures on how he must become a perfect gentleman and cannot let 'his people' down. Wanting to follow these instructions and paying careful attention to his lessons.

Learned:
- He's of some kind of noble blood. As such, it's expected of him to act like a noble.
- General manners! In particular being polite.
- Sense of responsibility! Take care of those/things he sees as 'his', no matter what.
- There are people depending on him that he can't let down.
